Æolian-Skinner Organ |

The organ is Opus 1485 of the Æolian-Skinner Organ Company of Boston, Massachusetts, dating from 1968, and one of the last Æolian-Skinner organs designed by Phillip Steinhaus. In 1978 the Antiphonal Trompette-en-Chamade was given in memory of Garnell Copeland. In 1982 the Solo division was installed by the E.M. Skinner Organ Company of East Kingston, NH. Several ranks from previous organs at Epiphany are heard in the present one. The 8' Bourdon rank in the Swell is from the 1874 Roosevelt and the 8' Spitzflöte and Flute Celeste are from the 1911 E.M. Skinner. Also from the 1911 E.M. Skinner are the twelve lowest wooden pipes of the Ophicleide in the Solo division. The Tuba, French Horn, and English Horn were part of the large E.M. Skinner organ in the Beacon Hill residence of the late Mr. & Mrs. Edwin Farnham Greene. |
