Adam Graham
Internationally acclaimed Conductor and Organist , Mr. Graham presently serves as Director of Music Ministries at First Presbyterian Church of Arlington, VA, having recently completed successful positions at St Thomas’ Episcopal Church DC, the historic St . John’s Episcopal Church Broad Creek (King George’s Parish) established in 1692 and known as the Mother Church of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington DC, Director of the University of Liberia Alumni Chorus, and Artist in Residence at the Takoma Park Church of Seventh Day Adventists in Takoma Park, Maryland.
For several years, Graham served as Chairman for Music in Worship on the Repertoire & Standards Committee of the American Choral Director’s Association. As a Pastoral Leader , holding lay-pastoral licenses from the Episcopal Diocese of Washington DC, he has a clear passion for sacred music, the spoken word, and furthering the life of the church. In the past , he has worked with both professional and volunteer choirs, as well as professional recording artists. Graham has served at personal request on The Rt . Rev. Mariann Edgar
Budde’s (Bishop of Washington DC) Liturgical Committee for Annual Convent ion, and led Diocesan Choral Evensong at the personal request of The Rt . Rev. John B Chane (Bishop of Washington DC – retired) . Noticeably, he had the honor of playing for the 2012 Presidential Inauguration for the Republic of Liberia, Her Excellency Dr . Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf , President , and served as musician for the National Episcopal Church Women as part of the National Episcopal Church Convention.
With a background in installing and voicing digital organs, Mr . Graham serves as a consultant for church growth and music ministries. For years he served as the Concert Conductor for Jubilate; a non-profit choir in Annapolis, Maryland, that performs anywhere up to thirty concerts per year . He has performed numerous concerts as Organist & Pianist, and is also in high demand as a Conductor , having prepared choirs for concerts and the John F Kennedy Centre for Performing Arts, and revived the annual Messiah Concert at Trinity Episcopal – Piney Branch, which was then listed as one of the “Best performances of Handel ’s Messiah in Washington D.C. ” - DC Per forming Arts Examiner.
